FAQ — Home Team Parenting

Question 1

What exactly is parent coaching?

Accepted Answer

Parent coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented process where a trained coach helps you develop specific skills and strategies to improve your relationship with your child. Unlike therapy, coaching is forward-focused — we work on where you want to go, not just where you've been. We don't diagnose, treat, or provide mental health services. We assist you to craft a unique, flexible game plan for your family, then coach from the sidelines to give you confidence to run the plays.

Question 2

Is this therapy or counseling?

Accepted Answer

No. Parenting Game Plan is coaching, not therapy or mental health counseling. We do not provide psychological treatment, diagnose conditions, or create a therapeutic relationship of any kind. If you or your child are experiencing mental health concerns, we strongly encourage you to seek a licensed mental health professional. Coaching and therapy can complement each other, but they are not the same thing.

Question 3

Who is Parenting Game Plan for?

Accepted Answer

We coach parents of kids age 2-18 who want to reduce conflict, motivate kids to achieve and build a close relationship. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit — many of our clients are proactive parents who simply want to level up their game.

Question 4

Do both parents need to participate?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. One motivated parent can make a significant difference in a family's dynamic. That said, when both parents are aligned and working from the same playbook, results tend to come faster and last longer. We offer options for individuals and couples.

Question 5

What programs do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We offer a range of options to fit different needs and budgets: The Playbook Course (self-paced online), Live Workshops (group Zoom sessions), Single 1:1 Coaching Sessions by Zoom, and our Coaching Bundle for the most comprehensive support. A Bonus for the Coaching bundle? A money back guarantee that your family will be transformed in 60 days. Visit our Store page to see current offerings and pricing.

Question 6

How is the 1-on-1 coaching structured?

Accepted Answer

Each 1-on-1 session is a focused, 60-minute conversation where we dig into your specific situation, identify what's getting in the way, and build a concrete action plan. Sessions are conducted via video call. You'll leave every session with clear next steps — not just good feelings.

Question 7

What's included in the Coaching Bundle?

Accepted Answer

The Coaching Bundle is our most comprehensive package and includes multiple 1-on-1 sessions, access to The Playbook Online Course, Live Zoom group workshops, and priority scheduling. It's designed for families who want sustained support and real progress over time, not just a one-time conversation. Additionally, we offer a money-back back guarantee that after 60 days, your family will be transformed. (Conditions apply).

Question 8

Do you offer a Money Back Guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We are so confident that the Parenting Game Plan will transform your family, that we offer money back guarantee for our Coaching Bundle. Additionally, if you're not satisfied with any session or course, reach out to us at info@hometeamparenting.com within 7 days of purchase and we'll make it right. Please review our full Terms & Conditions for details.

Question 9

How do I know which program is right for me?

Accepted Answer

A good starting point is our free Parenting Playbook ebook — it gives you a taste of our approach and helps you identify where to focus first. If you're still unsure, reach out through our Contact page and we'll help you find the right fit.

Question 10

How quickly can I get started?

Accepted Answer

You can access The Playbook Course and free resources immediately after purchase. For 1-on-1 coaching, scheduling is typically available within a few business days. Live Workshops are offered on a set schedule — check the Store page for upcoming dates.

Question 11

What if I'm in a crisis situation with my child?

Accepted Answer
